Ambition isn’t seen as a positive value. On the contrary, it is thought that there is always an evil intent behind the road of personal growth, be it professionally or economically. But not every kind of ambition is bad. Different levels could contribute to the growth of a new venture; according to Neil Patel, author of “Hustle: The Power to Charge Your Life with Money, Meaning, and Momentum,” who will be in Chile this October during a congress about digital marketing.
Patel, along with entrepreneurs Patrick Vlaskovit and Jonas Koffler, explains the concept of Hustle, a term usually used in sports that talks about what makes the pros to be truly pros. Inside the area of digital marketing, this can apply in the same sense. First, it is the potential to stand above the rest and have better lead generation. Second, it is the capacity to have an “out of the box” way of thinking that will open roads that nobody has ever thought of.
This tendency is defined as the “decisive movement toward a goal, however indirect, by which the motion itself manufactures luck, surfaces hidden opportunities, and charges our lives with more money, meaning, and momentum,” according to the New York Times Bestseller.
“In a world of boundless abundance, the only thing standing between us and fulfillment of our dreams is self-imposed friction, a poison that saps our willingness to step out of what feels comfortable."
This way of thinking is something completely personal and the only way to obtain a certain goal. It is how people use idiosyncrasies to find their unique means and their own personal successes. “Discovering our own way, not blindly aping the success of others, is the truest way forward.”
But ambition isn’t everything. The foundation of Hustle is never to stop. Never be bothered by all the inconveniences you’ll face, having only your main goal as the target. Hustle is used in sports because these are the best examples. Those who train every day, no matter hot or cold. They go to the best teams to improve, and their careers only end when their body can’t hold it anymore.

After growing up playing all his life, he never stopped, even after arriving in Barcelona, the team most players aim to be in. After leaving the team, leaving the climax of his career behind, he kept playing in other countries. It was the ambition to be the best which powered his talent.

The trend has gone through the limits of marketing and has started to imbue other levels. “Side Hustling” refers to the act of having a small business, usually overall social networks, besides your main job. The term wasn’t picked at random. It is fueled by the same idea of an ambition that powers these new ventures. It is the will and desire to have more in your own terms which powers a successful venture.
A study developed by the Academy of Management shows that ventures that start as a Side Hustle while the entrepreneur is working somewhere else have fewer chances of failing. These are the kind of results that nonstop search for success and the ambition for personal growth help make happen.
This switch towards a life where opportunities never stop depends only on your will never to stop getting up after failing.
